OpenFOAM Alchemist targets two main groups; first, the new users who plan to start using OpenFOAM, or those who just have started. Number two, those who have been playing around OpenFOAM for a while, but want to level up to a premium experience by leveraging the wealth of tools both inside and outside OpenFOAM, e.g., function objects, bash scripting, gnuplot and VIM, to name a few.

The first OpenFOAM Alchemist event was held in a hybrid format both at the University College Dublin and online in 2023, followed by programming sessions in 2024.
